According to the ship information provided by the owner,Air cooler leaks need to repair the leaking area , As a result, the SEASAVE service team conducted dismantling and repair operations on March 19, 2024 at the Shanghai Yangshan/SHA Port.
Progress:
Finding leaks
Check and Mark the range according to the leakage area,remove steam release valve.
Put the soapy water in the pipe and circulate the boiling water to look for air cooler leaks，then found corrosion and leakage in the air cooler piping..

Remove damaged pipe
Dismantle connecting tubes. Bolts and air cooler valves ，large amount of wire found in air cooler tube.
Close all the vapor release valves and tighten the screws, open one side of the air cooler to a pressure of 0.05Mpa, and then open the auxiliary blower, brush soapy water on the air cooler, and observe whether it is foaming or not, such as foaming means that the pipe is leaking.
Dismantle the leakage pipe and use a stainless steel plug. After confirming the leakage pipe, plug both sides of the leakage pipe tightly with a stainless steel plug.

Test leak
Stainless steel plug and recheck pipe for leaks (tested, leaks resolved).
Insert the leakage pipe into the stainless steel plug front and back and reinstall the air cooler valve、Bolts and connecting pipes.
