CMA CGM JULES VERNE Scrubber inlet duct leakage & Replace pipe
Progress:
Inlet crack repair
Background:
There are leakages on both side of inlet duct of marine scrubbers.
Starboard:
We removed the insulation of the duct and found that there was a crack at each end of the air duct,which was consistent with the result of corrosion from the appearance:
Proceed cleaning and lapping:
At the same time, the No. 1 weld was repaired, and the No.2 weld was not recommended because it was weak
Add fix plate above the crack so that crack is in the middle of the plate and plate is aligned with the crack direction:
