Project description:

Per vessel information provided by the Owner, the X‑Crosshead bearing and No.10 cylinder crosshead lower bearing require renewal. Accordingly, the SEAWAVE service team arrived at Ningbo Port on 1 June 2026 to perform the repair works.

 According to the ship information provided by the owner, the X- Crosshead bearing needs to be replaced, and The No.10 cylinder crosshead lower bearing needs to be renewed, so from the SEAWAVE service team were at the port of Ningbo on 1 ,Jun 2026 to carry out the repair work.

 Step 1: Secure crosshead & Remove worn old crosshead lower bearing
1.1 Fix crosshead assembly firmly with multiple chain block rigging to lock crosshead position for safe overhaul 
1.2 Inspect severe surface abrasion of original defective lower bearing before dismantling
1.3 Remove fastening studs and thoroughly clean dirt & residue inside bearing housing cavity
1.4 Lift out damaged old bearing via chain hoist and auxiliary hand tools after full component release 

Step 2: New bearing installation & Hydraulic bolt tightening work
2.1 Fit brand-new crosshead lower bearing into housing and precisely align all mounting hole positions 
2.2 Mount hydraulic jacks on tightening studs and connect hydraulic hoses between jacks and high-pressure hydraulic pump unit 
2.3 Gradually boost working pressure and monitor gauge reading to specified target value for bolt pre-tightening
