Project description:

As requested, our service team attended the subject vessel between 20th nov & 21th nov . During her berthing at Jingtang terminal, China. The reason for attendance was to provide service for ME fuel pump overhaul.

All work done listed

All work done listed as below:

1.Pre‑maintenance prep: Implemented lockout‑tagout (LOTO) on main engine system to isolate oil & power. Cleaned fuel pump surface & prepped spares (oil seals, filter elements, bearings).
2.Disassembly & inspection: Dismantled pump per safety manual. Inspected gear teeth – no wear pitting/deformation. Measured gear clearance (feeler gauge): within std. 0.15–0.25 mm. Left‑end bearing slightly loose. Oil seal aged/cracked; filter clogged with metal particles.
3.Component maintenance & replacement: Replaced loose bearing, aged oil seal & clogged filter. Cleaned pump body, oil passages & suction pipe with diesel to remove residues. Replaced pump barrel. Applied sealant to pump cover joint to prevent leakage.
4.Reassembly: Reassembled components in reverse order. Torqued bolts to spec to avoid uneven pump body stress.
5.Test: Ran 30 min observation – no leakage. Pump noise normal, operation smooth, no abnormal vibration.
