Project description:

According to the requirements of the owner, our service team overhauled the No.1 D/G of "MINOAN DIGNITY" at Qingdao BEIHAI Shipyard on July 5, 2024.

Progress:

D/G 1 Overhaul Process

D/G 1 Overhaul Process

  According to the requirements of the owner, our service team overhauled the No.1 D/G of "MINOAN DIGNITY" at Qingdao BEIHAI Shipyard on July 5, 2024.Process follows:
 - Stop running No.1 D/G,remove accessories and pipes,remove cylinder cover,piston and connecting rod.
 - Remove smoke main,supercharger,oil cooler,sea water cooler,oil pump,sea water pump,free end gear box cover.
 - Remove crankshaft,main bearing and main bearing shell,disassemble the connecting rod bearing,connecting rod shell.
 - Cleaning the piston,connecting rod,cover,main bearing and main bearing shell,cleaning the valve seat/rod.
 - Lapping the valve seat/rod,and replaced the No.4 four valve rod and two seats,measuring various data,including:liner,piston ring,old piston pin,piston,connecting rod big end and small end,old main bearing shell.
 - Replaced the unit No.3  liner and  cleaning unit NO 1,2,4,5 liner and replaced o-ring.
 - Cleaning the crank case,measurement new main bearing and install,assemble the new thrust block(total 4 pieces),reinstall crankshaft and pedestal frame.
 - Remove and clean the flywheel and bolts before installation. 
 - Clean plate cold,reinstall exhaust manifold,supercharger,plate cold,oil pump,sea water pump,free end gear box end cover.Cylinder cover pressure test,test no leakage.
 - All piston rings are replaced,No.1 and No.5 pistons are replaced;Replaced No.2,4 and 5 piston pins and measure new piston 
 pins;The big end of the connecting rod is replaced;Connecting rod bolts were replaced,a total of 20;Reinstall connecting rod,piston and cylinder cover and lubrication.
 - Install various pipes and accessories;Install the rocker arm and measure the adjustment gap;Measuring the crankshaft;Repack insulation.
 - Running test(water test and oil test);No-load and load operation.
 - RMK:All replacement parts are based on measurement results;All the measurements are shown in the attached table.

Progress:

Decommission No.1 D/G, dismantle components including the cylinder cover, piston, and connecting rod, and remove associated pipes.

Overhaul the engine by replacing the crankshaft, bearings, piston rings, and other worn parts
