Project description:
According to the vessel information provided by the shipowner, the air cooler requires replacement. Consequently, the SEAWAVE service team traveled from Shekou Port to Nansha Port on October 19, 2025, to carry out the repair work.
Progress:
After inspection, power off the machine and remove the relevant attachments.
Progress:
Secure the old air cooler core and use a hand chain hoist to remove the core.
1.Fix the end cover and pull it out with a hand chain hoist，Water inlet/outlet cover pulled out；0ld cooler element started pulling out.
2.Removing floor plates near ME TC to set up a chain block to support the old cooler while removing.
Progress:
Clean the mounting surface & install a new air cooler.
1. Lowered new cooler to the ER.
2.Clean the mounting surface and Apply sealant，Old cooler is taken to deck.
3.Commenced shifting of new cooler and New cooler inserted.
Progress:
Install all other accessories & test the new air cooler.
1. Commenced tightening of the cooler bolts，and Fitting of cooler front cover bolts was completed & LT water outlet flange gasket renewed.
2. Back cover installation，installed back EGR blower LO vent pipe and the platform support(which were removed before to gain access for cooler replacement).
3.LT inlet/outlet pipes fitted back and other accessories install and Test the new air cooler & - Filed LT water ,tested with pump pressure 2.0 bar,cooler water side found satisfactory, air side will be checked (for leaks) after the vessel sal out from the port.
